Initially a Limited Edition release of just 150 bottles, Something Blue was first created by Colin & Jessica McLean to commemorate their marriage on 2nd June 2018.

By popular demand - coupled with multiple award nominations - Something Blue returns as a permanent addition to the diverse range of spirits produced by McLean’s Gin.

Bottled at a modest 39.4% alcohol by volume, Something Blue is hand-crafted from 100% triple-distilled neutral spirit, fresh spring water and McLean’s carefully selected range of 8 botanicals; several of which remain a closely-guarded secret.

TASTE

Nose: Fresh, floral notes of lavender and violet are supported by fragrant cardamom and delicate garden herbs.

Palate: Sugared almonds and fresh summer berries, drizzled in soft marzipan give way to lightly crushed juniper berries and Eastern spices. Herbal notes of mint and aromatic basil linger. 

Finish: Long, dry, refreshing, subtly sweet and extremely moreish. Something Blue contains no added sugar or sweeteners, containing just 69kcal per 25ml measure.
